Edgecombe County Public Schools Superintendent Valerie Bridges has been named the Central Carolina Regional Education Service Alliance Superintendent of the Year. Bridges’ dedication to educational leadership has been evident since her tenure as principal, where she was nominated several times for principal of the year and named the 2007 Principal of the Year by the Gaston County Association of Educators, Dana Stutzman, a spokeswoman for the education service alliance, said in a statement.
