Cummins Inc. announced this week that Steve Pinkston is being named plant manager of the Rocky Mount Engine Plant, effective Nov. 2.

Pinkston will replace John Judd, who is being named the North America Operations Leader for Cummins-Meritor, also effective Nov. 2.

Pinkston will be the 13th plant manager since the plant opened in 1981 in Whitakers. The midrange diesel and natural gas engine plant has manufactured nearly five million engines and produces engines for more than 500 customers and employs approximately 1,800 people.
